Schlesinger Lake House

About This Project

The Beeckens recommended STUDIO DUO to the Schlesingers, a Chicago based couple with two young kids. They had bought a lot in an association on Lake Michigan near New Buffalo, Michigan. It was tucked into the woods a short walk to the private beach.  STUDIO DUO suggested that the house be influenced by the mid-century Adderondack style – meaning a forest house with dark wood siding, screen porch, big stone chimney, etc., then blended with their more pseudo-urban tastes.
